Steamed Attiéké: Simple and Delicious

Here's a recipe if you'd like your attiéké to have a grainier texture. This version uses less water than the recipe on the packaging. Just like with rice, some people prefer a creamier, softer, or firmer consistency. So, it's all about finding your perfect balance when it comes to attiéké!

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of dehydrated attiéké grains
  • 2 cups of hot water

Instructions :

  1. Hydration: In a large bowl, pour the dehydrated attiéké, then the hot water, and cover the grains with a plate or lid. Let it sit for 10 minutes to hydrate.

  2. Steaming: Transfer the rehydrated attiéké to a steamer basket or preheated steamer. Steam for 5-10 minutes, until the attiéké is soft and slightly elastic.
