Est-ce que t’as mis du citron ?” — Non. C’est juste l’attiéké O’Kassava

Did you put lemon in it?” — No. It’s just O’Kassava attiéké.

Amelan Boubacar

Many know attiéké served with grilled fish and vegetables — the classic Ivorian recipe. And it's delicious.

But attiéké is so much more than that.

How to prepare O’Kassava attiéké

O’Kassava attiéké is dehydrated — which means it can be stored for up to 3 years and prepared in just a few minutes.

Step 1 — Pour boiling water over the attiéké and mix well.

Step 2 — Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes. It's ready.

Want an extra fluffy result?

After resting, add an optional step:

  • Microwave → 2 minutes

  • Steam → 5 minutes

The traditional way. The attiéké is softer, more fragrant — just like in Côte d'Ivoire.

5 ways to cook it differently

1. As a quinoa-style bowl

Replace quinoa with attiéké in your favorite bowl — grilled chicken, avocado, roasted vegetables, lemon vinaigrette. Light, nutritious, original.

2. In a cold salad

Cold attiéké holds up very well. Mix it with tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh herbs, and olive oil. A salad that changes everything.

3. As a fusion side dish

Serve it instead of rice or couscous with your favorite dishes — curry, roasted chicken, sautéed vegetables. It absorbs sauces wonderfully.

4. As stuffing

Use attiéké to stuff peppers or tomatoes with herbs and spices. Baked, it's surprising and delicious.

5. For breakfast

With hot milk, a little honey, and fresh fruit — like a light and energizing porridge to start the day.

Amelan's tip

“Attiéké is like rice or couscous — it takes on the flavor of what you put with it. Let yourself go, experiment. You'll be surprised.”
