The mini waffles
What you'll need
- 1 cup O’Kassava no-sugar-added waffle mix (vanilla)
- 6 to 8 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk (cow's or plant-based)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp oil or melted butter
- The double chocolate sauce
- 80 g dark chocolate (70% ideally)
- 80 g white chocolate
The recipe
- Mix the waffle mix with the egg, milk, water, and oil until you get a smooth batter. Incorporate the crushed Oreos. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Preheat the mini waffle maker and grease it lightly. Pour a small amount of batter and cook for 2-3 minutes per batch until golden brown.
- Melt each chocolate separately in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals until you get two smooth and shiny sauces.
- Arrange the mini waffles in a cluster on a plate or slate.
- Drizzle with dark chocolate and white chocolate, allowing the two colors to blend on top.
Tip: Reserve a few Oreo pieces to sprinkle over the waffles after drizzling — for even more crunch and a beautiful visual presentation.
